Role Summary  Responsible for overseeing construction projects from planning through close-out, including budget management, cost estimating, and coordination of construction activities. This role ensures accuracy in contractor applications, lead constructability and QA/QC reviews, and supports contract administration processes. The position also provides leadership to projects are delivered in compliance with safety standards, specifications, and client expectations.  Key Responsibilities  Manage project budgets to track monthly expenditures on project-by-project basis Conduct or direct the verification of construction quantities for contractor applications for payment Prepare staffing and cost estimates for new projects Conduct constructability reviews which may include roadway projects, sanitary and storm drainage projects, pump stations, generators, retaining walls, bridge replacements (including movable bridges), culverts Oversee or conduct construction tasks including bid reviews, contract award evaluations, verification of bond and insurance submittals, issuance of Notice to Proceed letters, construction and pre-construction meetings Ensure project QA/QC compliance efforts in accordance with strict adherence to QA/ QC and Safety practices & standards Provide leadership and direction by mentoring and motivating staff including training, performance feedback, technical guidance, client relations, financial management and brainstorming Chair preconstruction meetings and prepare meeting minutes for projects Gather GIS assets and prepare projects as-builts for close-out Qualifications & Skills  Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management with minimum of 10+ years of experience demonstrating increased responsibility from Construction Inspector level responsibilities upward Professional Engineer (PE) license in good standing is highly preferred, but not required.  If experienced Candidate has an active NICET III or IV license with relevant experience and is in NJ, we welcome and value you to contact us asap Proven experience delivering large construction projects as well as smaller construction projects  Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to interact in a positive manner with clients, public officials and the general public Must be well versed in the understanding and implementation of the NJDOT and NJTA specifications, standards and details Valid Certifications including:  NICET IV or PE (preferred but not required), ACI Field Concrete Testing, NJ Society of Asphalt Technician Certification (NJSAT), Rutgers TCP, ACI CCTC certifications Compensation, Benefits & Growth  We recognize that the best way to provide services of the highest quality is by investing in our employees.  Total Rewards:  Health & Wellness: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance; Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA).  Financial Security: 401(k) with company match, company-paid life insurance, and Short-Term/Long-Term Disability (STD/LTD).  Work-Life Balance: Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) including vacation, sick days, and holidays; Paid Maternity and Paternity Leave.  Professional Development: Expert training and mentoring through the Boswell Academy and tuition assistance programs.  Pay Transparency: In accordance with local law, the range below is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition.
