Material Handler/Backup Sandblaster

Legacy Building Solutions specializes in highly custom, large and specialty fabric structures. We are growing and in need of a Material Handler/Backup Sandblaster to join our team.

• Loading/unloading of materials
• Paint/Steel processing
• Assists in the preparation of materials to be shipped to construction sites
• Conveys materials and items from receiving or production area to storage or other designated areas
• Records number of materials or items received or distributed
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style or product code
• Forklift operation safely and responsibly
• Cleans work area, machines, tools and equipment, paint metal stock as well as miscellaneous jobs
• Operate power equipment, including power tools
• Perform other duties as necessary

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to cross train in other areas of the plant/business
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be able to operate a forklift/combi in a safe and efficient manner with the ability to obtain a certification.
• Positive attitude and desire to work as a team player
• Previous history of consistent attendance with the ability to be to work on time on daily basis

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
  1. Stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and talk or hear.  
  2. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.  
  3. The employee must regularly lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.  
  4. Follow safety procedures including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment
