Laundry Aide

Job DetailsJob Location: HUTCHINSON, KS 67502Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $14.00 - $20.00 HourlyJob Shift: AnyThe Laundry Aide is responsible for laundry tasks such as, but not limited to, picking up and sorting soiled linens and residents’ clothing, laundering, labeling, folding and delivering linens and personal clothing.  Assistance with housekeeping duties may be requested. Brief Summary of Responsibilities: Collect, sort, launder and deliver personal clothing to residents. Maintain records of processed resident clothing as requested. Assist in finding missing clothing, marking them, then returning them to the proper owner. Keep resident clothing in good repair; mend as needed. Follows all safety precautions and use universal precautions in providing resident services.  Use personal protective equipment appropriately.  Dispose of biohazardous waste according to policy. Keep up to date with chemicals currently in use along with their proper usage. Qualifications High school graduate or GED preferred. Must be able to read, write and follow oral and written instructions in English. Previous commercial laundry experience is preferred. Previous experience working with older adults is preferred.
