Job Description:
Position Summary:
As a Dental Patient Access Specialist, you'll be at the heart of the patient experience, making a lasting impact from the very first interaction. Your primary role is to ensure every patient is welcomed with efficiency, professionalism, and care, setting the stage for a seamless dental journey. You'll be the mastermind behind appointment scheduling, expertly coordinating visits in line with College of Dental Medicine (CODM) guidelines. With your keen attention to detail and strategic thinking, you'll ensure that each patient's appointment is not only on time but also perfectly aligned with the clinic’s needs, creating a smooth flow for both patients and providers.
Essential Functions:
Ensures all registration forms are completed accurately.
Set up patient online access with appropriate consents and patient signatures.
Coordinate with eAssist verification of dental benefits prior to initial appointment.
Schedule initial and follow up patient treatment appointments.
Manage heavy volume of incoming and outgoing calls regarding patient care.
Manage the faculty, staff and student schedules, and work with the clinical team, to achieve utilization goals through efficient use of patient flow, appointment chair availability.
Coordinate any patient insurance pre-authorization that is required prior to treatment.
Active participation in Roseman University’s CODM Clinical Efficiency Improvement Program for patient care.
Receive and respond to incoming communications from patients and outside entities.
Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.
Reliable and timely with the expectation of 40+hours per week on site.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent), 1 year experience in a dental/medical office preferred; or any combination of education, experience and training which provides the following Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Bilingual required (Spanish speaking)Â
