JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for coordination of various Risk Control initiatives to include Workers’ Compensation claims administration, compliance with property Risk Control Profile and other safety related initiatives within a dynamic work environment.
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Effectively manages Workers’ Compensation claim files to include timely filing, tracking, and maintenance of all claims at Property. Assists Third Party Administrator in all Workers’ Compensation claim investigations through claim closure.
· Coordinates temporary light duty program per Caesars Entertainment guidelines and according to level of claim activity.
· Accurately maintains OSHA 300 log per OSHA injury reporting guidelines.
· Assists Risk Manager with processing and some investigation of General Liability claims.
· Administrates various safety related promotions per Caesars Risk Control Profile, including the Property safety incentive program.
· Maintains current list of authorized drivers for Property.
· Organize and track certificates of insurance to ensure compliance with Caesars insurance guidelines.
· Understand and maintain confidentiality of any and all sensitive information and/or interactions with Team Members or guests.
· Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all Team Members contacted in the course of duties.
· Deliver superior internal and external service.
· Occasionally support Risk Manager at Reno property in key job functions.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
· College Degree and/or minimum 3-5 years related experience in Risk Control and/or Workers’ Compensation claims handling preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Literate and fluent in English. Bilingual preferred.
· Working knowledge of fundamental Nevada Workers’ Compensation statutes, some knowledge of California Workers’ Compensation guidelines preferred.
· Some knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically injury reporting and record keeping.
· Must be highly organized with strong attention to detail.
· Must possess ability to think critically and work unsupervised to accomplish tasks.
· Effectively adapt to changing environment, and possess ability to meet compliance deadlines.
· Must have strong background in use of Microsoft Office.
· Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business
· Acts as a role model to other Team Members and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do the same.
· Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures
PHYSICAL, MENTAL and ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
· Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time (8 hours).
· Visual and auditory range must include immediate environment.
· Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
· Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property including stairs and escalators.
· Must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, and kneel.
Positions that have contact with the public require the ability to work in a noisy environment, and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products. Also, non-public contact positions may be required to enter public areas from time to time, in connection with their duties, and may be subject to the same environment.
