Job Summary
The Retail Stock Associate provides excellent customer service for both internal and external guests. He or she ensures merchandise is transferred from the receiving dock to the sales floor. The Retail Stock Associate receives, unpacks, and delivers merchandise. He or she ensures that the back stock is put away in the stock rooms. All retail Team Members should be outgoing, upbeat, energetic, and dependable. |
Education
High School Diploma required. Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. |
Licenses / Certificates
Ability to obtain/renew all government required licenses or certification, specifically an Alcohol Awareness Certification, and Health Card where applicable. |
Essential Functions / Duties
Overview
The Retail Stock Associate must be able to safely lift up to 50 pounds, push and pull heavy loads and work standing for 90% of the day. He or she will be required to work in a fast-paced environment that is physically demanding.
Appearance
Ensure uniform standards are adhered to. Always wear a uniform that is clean and neatly pressed. Name tag should be worn at all times.
Customer Service: both internal and external customers
Maintain customer service levels in accordance with Family Style Service standards
Acknowledge and greet guests with a smile
Be knowledgeable about the Caesars Rewards program and the benefits it offers the guest
Be courteous and create a warm, friendly atmosphere for the guest
Be knowledgeable of the hotel property and the amenities it has to offer
Teamwork
Communicate all daily activities to the next shift on duty
Partner with fellow Team Members to create a strong team
Communicate daily activities to the Supervisor on Duty
Adhere to company guidelines on attendance and tardiness. Clock in and out as directed based on the schedule
Stock Management
Receive the shipments in a timely manner
Receive, unpack, and put away or transfer the daily deliveries of merchandise
Receive in DC shipments and notify Supervisor on Duty if there are discrepancies
Deliver and replenish beverages
Receive orders of Pepsi, liquor, wine, and beer
Receive requisitions from the loading dock
Follow delivery schedule set forth by the Retail Manager
Transport merchandise from the receiving dock to the store locations
High volume retail stores require additional physical labor to stock coolers and transport stock from remote storage locations
Ensure all the necessary supplies are delivered to the stores (bags, tissue, bubble wrap, etc.)
Complete stock counts as requested
Maintain and manage stock areas
Inform the Supervisor on Duty if there are overstock items or out of stocks
Complete on hand logs where applicable for the stock room areas
Monitor alcohol and beer inventory and assist with ordering where applicable
Assist in completing store to store transfers
Housekeeping
Participate in stock room cleanliness by dusting and keeping all areas neat and uncluttered
Inform Supervisor on Duty if there are any maintenance concerns (lights, etc.)
Collect and dispose of trash where applicable
Miscellaneous
Attend mandatory meetings and training sessions
Complete job assignments as directed by the Supervisor on Duty
Assist with Team Member sales events, physical inventories and special events as requested

Daily Operations
Team Member responds to communications in a timely manner
Team Member receives shipments in a timely manner, vendor orders and DC deliveries
Team Member ensures all receiving, unpacking, and sorting is completed within allotted amount of time set by property management
Team Member receives in DC shipments and will notify Supervisor on Duty of any discrepancies
Team Member receives vendor orders and will notify Supervisor on Duty of any discrepancies
Team Member receives requisitions from the property
Team Member ensures that all vendors comply with vendor log, signing in and notifying supervisor of visit
Team Member should be able to push and lift up to 50 lbs.
Team Member transports merchandise from delivery areas to stores as well as stockrooms
Team Member notifies supervisor of out-of-stock items and slow sellers
Team Member maintains neatness and cleanliness of all areas (stores, stockrooms, and warehouse)
Team Member ensures that all necessary supplies needed for daily sales practices are delivered to stores when requested (bags, tissue wrap, etc.)
Team Member assists in pulling, delivering, and stocking of store-to-store transfers
Team Member assists in maintaining and managing stock levels against par reports
Team Member assists in stocking of coolers in retail outlets if needed
Team Member completes stock counts as requested
Team Member monitors beverage inventory, and orders where applicable
Team Member monitors merchandise for expiration dates and removes from stock notifying supervisor
Team Member observes all safety, health and fire codes and practices
Team Member does not participate in harassment of any guest, co-worker, vendor, or others
Team Member does not use obscene, profane, or abusive language including malicious gossip and will refrain from lewd or obscene conduct.
Team Member turns in all order forms, receivers and required paperwork at end of their shift
Team Member completes daily job assignments as directed by management
