General Summary:
Under the supervision of the Director of Fiscal Services, performs tasks that are in the interest of orderly identification and control of County funds, conducts internal audits of County accounts to determine conformity to the County budget and to assure conformity to reporting requirements. Provides accounting expertise and performs the accounting and financial service functions for programs funded by grants or special revenue. Prepares financial reports for management review. Assists the Director of Fiscal Services in daily accounting functions.
Employment Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
Experience: Two or more years of professional accounting experience in a fund accounting system, which included experience with grant preparation, budget preparation, payroll and accounts payable. Use in database applications including office suite of software for MS Excel and Word required. Data processing experience required.
