We are looking for a driven and capableĀ Construction Manager (Civil, Structural, Architectural) to support us in the development of multiple data center projects for one of the top technology clients in the world. This client-facing role requires strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills; the ability to self-direct; client representation experience; and a solid foundation in project management fundamentals. Candidates must be able to manage multiple projects concurrently and across multiple regions. A strong background in data center development, design, engineering, controls, and operational requirements is a significant advantage.Ā 

You will play an integral role in mentoring staff, forming long-term relationships with clients, and pursuing new work—this includes strategy development, positioning, proposal writing, and contract negotiations.Ā

RESPONSIBILITIESĀ 

  • Be well-versed in modern project management techniques within complex, multi-functional organizations; possess an understanding of engineering, design, procurement and contracting, safety, construction, and commissioningĀ 
  • Establish strong relationships with clients and communicate effectively with both technical and management-level personnelĀ 
  • Manage assigned work from start to close-out, covering all aspects of project delivery to ensure timely and effective executionĀ 
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations and report to management on progress, findings, and recommendationsĀ 
  • Review project plans, requirements, and specificationsĀ 
  • Prepare RFPs and support the contractor selection and contract award processĀ 
  • Work with contractors to establish CPM baseline schedulesĀ 
  • Perform resource analyses to identify potential bottlenecks and resource constraintsĀ 
  • Identify project risks, gaps, and opportunities; provide recommendations to stakeholders to mitigate risks and leverage opportunitiesĀ 
  • Facilitate, lead, and chair project meetings (including OAC meetings); maintain accurate meeting minutes and action itemsĀ 
  • Review and validate project progress, contractor pay applications, and invoicesĀ 
  • Conduct financial and technical appraisals of project options; perform feasibility studies, site surveys, and liaise with designers, engineers, superintendents, and construction managers as neededĀ 
  • Support business development efforts by contributing to strategy, positioning, proposals, and contract negotiationsĀ 
  • Perform other related duties as required and assignedĀ 

QUALIFICATIONSĀ 

Required Qualifications:Ā 

  • 12+ years of construction management experience within mission-critical environmentsĀ 
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction, civil engineering, structural engineering, architectural engineering, project management, or a related technical fieldĀ 
  • Strong understanding of construction and CSA (Civil, Structural, Architectural) disciplinesĀ 
  • Prior hyperscale data center development and construction experienceĀ 
  • Solid working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, contract management, project delivery methods, and building systems/componentsĀ 
  • Experience developing a wide range of reports for different audiencesĀ 
  • Experience in client-facing rolesĀ 
  • Demonstrated ability to understand technical and complex construction programs and communicate progress clearly to both technical and executive audiencesĀ 
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and accurately to any audienceĀ 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programsĀ 

Preferred Qualifications:Ā 

  • Master’s degree in Construction ManagementĀ 
  • Experience with Earned Value ManagementĀ 
  • Active membership in PMI, CCMA, or similar associationsĀ 
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certificationĀ 
  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certificationĀ
