Position Summary

CVS Health has an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician in Portland, ME. If you enjoy helping people on their path to better health, this may be the role for you. Our CarePlus Specialty Pharmacy specializes in autoimmune diseases (rheumatology, gastroenterology, dermatology, etc.), hepatitis, HIV, oncology, and organ transplant.

We are open Monday-Friday 8:00am to 6:00pm and are seeking an individual who will work full time (40 hours) to join our team.

As part of the team, you will be participating in an innovative and bold initiative aimed at transforming health care and pharmacy leveraging new and emerging information, technologies, and channels. You will be essential to ensuring medication has been filled correctly and be responsible for accurately entering prescription information as needed. Pharmacy Technicians work to support our patients through answering phones, order scheduling (refill reminder calls and scheduling deliveries with patients), insurance processing, data entry, and more. Phone skills are coveted as most of our patient contact is over the phone. To be successful in this role, you must be willing to work with a diverse customer base in a friendly and confident manner, work in a team environment, and be open to opportunities to learn and grown in your career. You should be motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and have excellent communication skills along with the ability to learn new operating systems, pharmacology, and medical technology.

Required Qualifications

Eligible for pharmacy technician license in the state of Maine

Experience in healthcare or insurance fields

The typical pay range for this role is:

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
