Just Right Heating, Cooling & Plumbing is a heating and cooling company that was formally started in 2004, but our founder, Dan Dearden, started in the business back in 1977. Position Summary

The Warranty Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving warranty-related issues on both newly installed HVAC systems and existing service work. This role requires a highly skilled technician with strong diagnostic abilities, installation knowledge, and a customer-first mindset.

This is a unique, flexible position that adapts to business needs. When warranty demand is low, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Run traditional service calls and earn commissions, or
  • Complete installation work and earn piece-rate pay.

What You'll Do

  • Diagnose and repair warranty-related issues on new HVAC installations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve warranty service concerns on existing systems.
  • Identify root causes of equipment or installation issues and perform quality repairs.
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners regarding repairs and system operation.
  • Document findings, repairs, and warranty claims accurately.
  • Collaborate with installation, service, and management teams to resolve recurring issues.
  • Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and work area.
  • Follow all company safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Support the service or installation team as business demands change.

Requirements


  • 3–5+ years of residential HVAC service and installation experience (more experience is highly valued). 
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. 
  • Experience working on a wide variety of HVAC equipment and systems. 
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, installation manuals, and technical documentation. 
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills. 
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. 
  • EPA Certification required. 
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in varying weather conditions.
