About the teamÂThe Marketplace Payments and Financial Services team is dedicated to developing and managing payment solutions that enhance the seller experience on our platform. By collaborating closely with product, technology, and operations teams, we aim to create efficient and effective billing solutions that support our company's goals and drive financial success.Â
What you'll do...
- Understand needs of Walmart’s services ecosystems, and develop and implement payment monetization strategies and tools to support new and existing seller servicesÂ
- Ensure close collaboration with Account management, Seller Services, Marketing and Operations to drive adoption of billing and monetization services with sellers. Build key measurements and a test/iterate philosophy to improve resultsÂ
- Lead advancements in billing strategies and payment mechanisms, including innovative solutions for international segmentsÂ
- Create and own billing risk management frameworks, partnering with Finance, Risk and Compliance to define policies for seller billing eligibility, limits, and exception handlingÂ
- Build and scale collections and recovery strategies for failed or delinquent seller paymentsÂ
- Lead billing and monetization solutions that support international markets, including local payment methods, currencies, tax structures, and regulatory nuances and partner with regional teams to adapt billing models to local payment preferences and compliance requirements Â
- Create and execute a detailed roadmap for billing solutions, optimizing the recovery process in collaboration with product, technology, and operations teamsÂ
- Partner with business teams to customize billing solutions, reduce payment costs, and minimize bad debtÂ
- Work with legal and compliance teams to ensure appropriate agreements and regulatory complianceÂ
- Create quantitative measurements to track success of the programs and prepare cost benefit analysis to get finance and leadership approvalsÂ
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive ownership and accountability.Â
- Ability to influence internal and external partners by fostering trust and establishing credibilityÂ
- Ability to understand user needs, pain points, and efficiency gaps in-depth and be an advocate for sellers in designing new processes and experiencesÂ
- Is commitment-driven, values collaborative team dynamics, and has a strong bias for actionÂ
- Established self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and enjoys driving continuous improvementÂ
- Business or Master's in Business, Statistics, Computer Science, or similar fieldÂ
- 4+Â years of experience in business or product operations, strategy, or process improvementÂ
- Prior experience building or owning customer/seller/user journeys end-to-end in e-commerce or B2C industriesÂ
- Expertise in Digital Payments and Fintech space is preferred, however, it is not a mandatory requirement for this role. We’ll welcome your application if you have a healthy enthusiasm for this space!Â
- Advanced SQL, Looker, and/or Tableau skills, including proficiency in window functions and query optimization, and hands-on experience in data analysis, data profiling, and data quality. Proven track record of applying thee to effective and successful business decisionsÂ
- Strong business insight, superb communication, and relationship skillsÂ
