This role supports a pilot initiative applying AI tools to clinical data analysis workflows, helping the team evaluate feasibility and operational impact before broader rollout. The individual executes defined workflow runs, tracks outputs, and helps surface early patterns that inform whether and how the pilot scales. This is a learning-oriented role suited to someone building foundational skills in quantitative methods, clinical data science, statistical programming, and application of large language models within a real production context.Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities:
- Executes pre-defined AI workflow runs accurately and on schedule.
- Tracks and logs run outputs, errors, and completion status.
- Organizes and maintains documentation of pilot activities and results.
- Flags anomalies or inconsistencies in workflow outputs to the pilot lead.
- Supports basic data checks and formatting ahead of workflow execution.
- Assists with compiling summary status updates for the pilot team.
- Follows established work instructions and escalates deviations rather than resolving independently.

Qualifications/Skills:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science or related discipline).
- Basic programming proficiency (e.g., Python or R) sufficient to run and troubleshoot existing scripts — not expected to write new workflows independently.
- Basic understanding of quantitative/statistical concepts.
- Comfortable following detailed instructions and working under close supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and reliability in repetitive task execution.
The expected wage for this position based on the South San Francisco California office location for BA/BS is $22.11 per hour. Paid holiday time off is based on Denali's designated holidays. Â Interns who live more than 50 miles away from the office are eligible for an additional housing stipend.
