Responsibilities

Advanced Equipment Support & Maintenance

  • Independently repair, service, adjust, and test complex industrial equipment including:
    • Automated control systems and PLCs.
    • Air systems, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
    • Electrical wiring, power distribution, and electrical assemblies.
    • Production and material handling equipment.
    • Hardware and mechanical components.
  • Lead equipment assembly and disassembly projects while maintaining high maintenance and safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical and mechanical issues.
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance tasks.

Project Leadership & Implementation

  • Lead projects related to installation of new equipment and test systems.
  • Implement equipment and instrumentation for assigned projects with minimal supervision.
  • Identify issues proactively and communicate recommended improvements or alterations.
  • Coordinate activities with other technicians, contractors, and operations staff.

Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing

  • Guide and mentor Technician team members.
  • Share technical knowledge and best practices to enhance team capabilities.
  • Collaborate effectively across departments to improve task execution.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Help develop and refine maintenance procedures.

Technical Problem-Solving

  • Perform root cause analysis of equipment, systems and processes.
  • Analyze equipment performance and recommend solutions.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • May operate forklifts, hoists, and other heavy equipment.

Additional

  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends as needed. May be called upon to respond to critical system issues outside normal hours.
  • Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must have regular and punctual attendance.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced ability to read and interpret drawings, schematic diagrams, and electrical code.
  • Strong electrical and electronic knowledge with hands-on application.
  • Solid mechanical experience servicing precision machine parts and complex equipment.
  • Experience with PLCs, automation systems, and industrial networks preferred.
  • Proficiency with computers, maintenance management software, and diagnostic tools.

Physical Requirements

  • This role requires physical activity including walking, standing, twisting, reaching, bending, climbing, and lifting.
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 60 lbs. Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends as needed.

Experience: 3+ years of electrical and mechanical work experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Experience with industrial production equipment and material handling equipment preferred.Education: 2-year vocational/technical school in electrical or mechanical field (strongly preferred). Relevant technical certifications a plus. Military technical training welcomed.Department:Ā  Ā Electromechanical.
