Job DetailsJob Location: Riverview Surgery Center - South Sioux City, NE 68776Position Type: Full TimePOSITION SUMMARY:  The Registered Nurse assists in the organization and daily function of the operating room in accordance with established Federal, State, and accreditation standards and center policies and procedures.  The Pre/Post OP RN evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care. Assists physicians during examinations and procedures. Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the Registered Nurse. Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals  QualificationsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:   Education/Experience/Licenses/Certificates/Eligibility: Current state R.N. license and BCLS, ACLS required, PALS preferred.  Prefer 2 years’ experience in acute care with emphasis in preoperative care.
