Job DetailsJob Location: MN St. Paul - South St. Paul, MN 55075Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: High School/GEDSalary Range: $23.00 - $24.40 HourlyTravel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: FirstPRIMARY FUNCTION The primary function of this position is to support warehouse, production, and material movement activities while also providing delivery support between Viking manufacturing, warehouse, and shipping locations as needed. This position is primarily responsible for warehouse and production-related duties, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, loading, unloading, inventory transactions, and material movement. The employee will also occasionally operate Company vehicles that do not require a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) to transport raw materials, work-in-process, finished goods, and supplies between Viking locations and other designated delivery points. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Warehouse / Production Responsibilities Performs warehouse, shipping, receiving, packing, and production support activities as assigned. Provides coverage within production work cells and other operational areas as needed. Operates forklifts and other material-handling equipment to retrieve, move, stock, load, and unload materials. Loads and unloads products, materials, trailers, and Company vehicles in a safe and efficient manner. Picks work orders using RF technology and/or paper pick tickets based on bin location, part number, description, and quantity. Performs required system transactions within the JDE operating system related to picking, stocking, shipping, and receiving activities. Utilizes JDE inquiries to verify inventory, stocking locations, and receiving information. Moves boxes, materials, and finished products to and from designated warehouse, production, shipping, and receiving locations. Verifies that the correct materials and quantities have been selected before completing work orders and packing shipments. Ensures materials are properly packaged, labeled, secured, and prepared for shipment. Operates shrink-wrap equipment and other available equipment to prepare crates, boxes, pallets, and materials for shipment. Assists with inventory accuracy and material organization as required. Completes required training, including applicable safety training, and demonstrates an acceptable level of competency as defined by management. Delivery / Driving Responsibilities Operates Company vehicles that do not require a CDL to transport raw materials, work-in-process, finished goods, supplies, and other materials between manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, and designated delivery locations. Loads, secures, transports, and unloads materials using safe material-handling and load-securement practices. Follows maps, written directions, GPS, or other routing instructions to complete scheduled deliveries. Obtains required signatures and completes delivery documentation for internal and external deliveries. Performs required pre-trip and/or daily vehicle inspections and reports safety or maintenance concerns. Maintains required delivery, mileage, vehicle, or driver documentation as applicable. Complies with all applicable traffic laws, Company vehicle policies, licensing requirements, and safety regulations. May operate truck-mounted or material-handling equipment when properly trained and authorized. Maintains flexibility to complete early-morning, weekend, or other deliveries when business needs require. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Uses good judgment and follows safe work practices when handling, loading, unloading, and transporting materials. Follows all Company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and work instructions. Works cooperatively with manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, receiving, and other departments to support operational needs. Performs additional duties and responsibilities as necessary to meet the needs of the Company.  QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required. CDL is not required for this position. Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, manufacturing, material-handling, or delivery experience preferred. Forklift experience preferred; must be able to complete Company-required equipment training and certification. Ability to use RF scanning technology and computerized inventory systems; JDE experience preferred. Ability to accurately follow work orders, shipping documents, delivery instructions, and written procedures. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be dependable and flexible based on operational and delivery needs. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive material-handling activities. Ability to lift and move boxes, materials, and products as required by the position. Ability to safely enter and exit Company vehicles and material-handling equipment. Ability to perform warehouse, production, loading, unloading, and delivery activities throughout the workday. Â
