Job Title: National Material Manager

Department: Supply Chain Operations

Reports to: National Director of Supply Chain

FLSA Status: Regular- Exempt

 

POSITION SUMMARY

Trulieve has a tremendous opportunity to drive innovation and transformation in a company with ambitious growth objectives. Our National Material Manager will plan and supervise materials, safety, product flow, KPI development and communication, as well as provide team members with direction and guidance. In order to increase our profitability and customer satisfaction, the National Material Manager will represent Trulieve competently and economically.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead a supply chain team across multiple states to achieve operational objectives.
  • Conduct interviews, severe as the point of contact for employee evaluations, performance counseling, and status updates.
  • Develop planning strategies and create key performance indicators (KPIs) for managing performance and execution levels with the National Director of Supply Chain.
  • Set the direction and tasks for the Material Manager/Supervisor and the members of the site-specific materials warehouse teams.
  • Create and provide reports on team and individual performance in collaboration with the materials team.
  • Outline and standardized processes for materials management into the appropriate ERP system used within each state.
  • Processes will focus on the receipt of materials, labeling, kitting, cycle counting and inventory control.
  • Focus on continuous improvement throughout every process.
  • Focus on maintaining and reporting accurate inventory daily, weekly, monthly and annual to ensure compliance with company standards and expectations.
  • Conduct/lead weekly huddles with Material Manager/Supervisors to discuss performance from the previous week. Maintain accurate meeting notes and send a weekly summary to the National Director.
  • Maintain the company's standards of excellence and service, ensuring quality performance.
  • Propose training programs and approaches for improving processes.
  • Control administrative operations so that they are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Read, comprehend, and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly operational data, and use these reports to assess the performance of the department.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by monitoring and evaluating safe work practices.
  • Ensure that all needed vehicle maintenance is accomplished on time and is properly reported.
  • Ensure that all physical and virtual material movements are maintained in the appropriate ERP systems.
  • Communicate material status between departments on a regular basis.
  • Develop cross functional teams to support operations and retail teams as needed.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree is required, but a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Five to seven years of related functional experience in Material and Inventory Management is preferred.
  • The ability to combine customer satisfaction criteria with organizational objectives is required.
  • The ability to work independently and make critical decisions is required.
  • Advanced skill in Microsoft Office products is required; SAP knowledge is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills for successful interface with all internal/external contacts.
  • Organizational abilities with a strong aptitude for reaching objectives and maintaining a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to interpret data in order to make judgments.
  • Highly self-motivated, including the ability to learn and maintain working knowledge of industry standards and trends.
  • Must have the mental and physical abilities to perform the work duties.
  • Proven job experience in the transportation and logistics fields Prior leadership experience with the ability to professionally execute objectives is required.

 

ADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possess the ability to engage with personnel professionally and respectfully, visitors, government agencies and the general public.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills and ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age (or a minimum of 18 years of age in CT, PA and WV).
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record (no violations).

 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to push, drag, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and transport this weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, either manually or with mechanical assistance.
  • Must be able to work seated/standing for extended periods of time at workstations, maintain body balance while ascending ladders and stairwells, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to frequently/constantly grasp, grasp, turn, pick, and pinch to perform duties.
  • Must be able to handle organic matter daily, use PPE (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, and fall protection), and be able to work in hot, chilly, damp, humid, or windy conditions (95 degrees or higher) while wearing PPE.
  • To perform tasks such as reading, using a computer terminal, and inspecting small parts/details, visual acuity is required, with or without the use of employment aides.
  • Must be able to converse and communicate verbally at conversational levels with colleagues, vendors, and others.

 

WORK SCHEDULE

45+ hours weekly with flexible hours depending on business needs. Must be available to work occasional evenings, weekends and holidays.
