Job DetailsJob Location: SOUTH WINDSOR, CT 06074We’re Coburn Technologies - a global leader in precision optical manufacturing - and we’re looking for a Manufacturing Engineer / Sustaining Engineer who enjoys hands-on problem solving, learning how products are built, and helping manufacturing processes run better every day.   This role is a great fit for an engineer who has a solid manufacturing foundation and is ready to grow their skills, take on increasing responsibility, and make a real impact on the shop floor.   What You’ll Do - Manufacturing Engineer / Sustaining Engineer Support engineering changes and product improvements across existing product lines. Troubleshoot manufacturing and product issues in collaboration with engineering, operations, and service teams. Assist with quality, corrective action, and continuous improvement initiatives. Work with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to improve manufacturability, reliability, and efficiency. Participate in documentation, process updates, and standard work. Exposure to EHS initiatives is a plus and an opportunity to expand your skill set. QualificationsWhat You Bring - Manufacturing Engineer / Sustaining Engineer Working knowledge of 3D modeling (SolidWorks strongly preferred). Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent hands-on experience). 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Basic to intermediate understanding of product development, quality systems, and lean manufacturing concepts. Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Infor SyteLine is a plus, but not required). Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and a willingness to learn. A collaborative mindset and a practical, “roll-up-your-sleeves” approach.
