Our client is regarded as a top accounting firm, providing professional accounting and bookkeeping services, as well as, comprehensive and expedient business tax services.

We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant / CPA to service the needs of our business clients by providing quality tax, accounting, and advisory services.

This position is full-time, permanent placement.

Essential responsibilities include:

  1. Tax planning and preparation services for all business & individual clients, including but not limited to corporate and partnership tax returns, including, but not limited to, the following sample schedules and forms: Schedules C, K-1; Forms 1065, 1120, 990; 754 elections and partnership taxation.
  2. Review working papers and tax forms as prepared by other accounting staff members in preparation for release to clients, through a lens of compliance with all applicable tax regulations. Conduct research as may be required.
  3. Support the recording of financial transactions & maintaining of general ledgers; reconcile financial discrepancies.
  4. Summarize current financial position: prepare, analyze & explain balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other relevant reports. Perform analysis of all asset, liability, and operating activity for clients; recommend modifications as warranted.
  5. Forecast revenue, analyze profit margins, and make budget/financial recommendations.

Highly qualified candidates will possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; current CPA certification required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of previous business tax experience.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to pivot between multiple tools in the company's tech stack.
  • Experience in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and other accounting & bookkeeping software programs.
  • Experience in Ultratax or other tax software programs.
  • An interest in providing a best-in-class client experience with the ability to communicate in an efficient, friendly, and helpful manner.
