Technologist-Echocardiographer Registered Job Code 22972 FLSA Status Job Family RADIOLOGY PROCESSLEVEL Job Description Title TechnologistEchocardiographer Registered Job Summary Job Summary Performs imaging procedures/treatments according to radiology practice standards in order to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Population Served Job Responsibilities Job Responsibilities • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Radiologic principals/theory and utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments, as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results. • Develops appropriate procedure/treatment plan. • Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established BMG protocols/guidelines. • Completes documentation as required to comply with BMG policies and procedures. • Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff. • Participates in BMG and departmental Performance Improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards. • Completes assigned goals. Specifications Experience Description Minimum Required Preferred/Desired #N/A Recent experience as a Sonographer. Education Description Minimum Required Preferred/Desired Registered by ARDMS and/or CCI or new graduate who is waiting to take registry. Proof of registry/certification required by primary source must be available within 12 months of graduation. BLS certification required within 14 days of hire date. Training Description Minimum Required Preferred/Desired Special Skills Description Minimum Required Preferred/Desired Basic computer literacy skills. Licensure Description Minimum Required Preferred/Desired ARDMS/CCI or new graduate who will obtain required registry/certification with 12 months of hire.; BLS WITHIN 14 DAYS OF HIRE Reporting Relationships Does this position formally supervise employees?
