Full Stack Developer

WIDELITY is seeking a Full Stack Developer with 3–7 years of experience to join our growing engineering team. This role is ideal for a hands-on developer who enjoys building end-to-end solutions and has experience in embedded systems, mobile platforms, and handheld devices. 

You will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain web applications that integrate with embedded hardware and mobile devices. This is an excellent opportunity for a developer looking to deepen their experience at the intersection of software, hardware, and secure systems. 

This is a full-time, on-site position, and candidates must live in the Research Triangle Park (RTP) / Southern Pines, NC area.

This role is ideal for a hands-on full stack developer with 3–7 years of experience who enjoys building across the stack and continuing to grow technically. Full Stack Developer Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications that interface with mobile and embedded systems 
  • Contribute to back-end services and APIs that support handheld and embedded devices 
  • Collaborate with hardware and embedded teams to support integration with processors, storage, RF modules, and antennas 
  • Assist in database design and optimization for systems interacting with mobile and embedded platforms 
  • Participate in code reviews and follow established development standards and best practices 
  • Debug and resolve performance issues across web, mobile, and device-connected systems 
  • Support cybersecurity and asset protection requirements within application development 
  • Continuously grow your expertise in embedded systems, RF, and mobile technologies

Full Stack Developer Technical Skills: 

Required: 

  • 3–7 years of hands-on experience in full stack development 
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React or Angular) 
  • Experience with back-end development (Node.js, Python, Java, or similar) 
  • Experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases 
  • Familiarity with Git and Agile development methodologies 
  • Exposure to mobile platforms (iOS, Android) or handheld device development 
  • Strong understanding of secure coding practices

Helpful but Not Required: 

  • Experience with embedded systems or hardware-integrated software 
  • Exposure to processors, storage systems, RF modules, or antenna technologies 
  • Experience with C/C++ or low-level programming 
  • Knowledge of wireless communication technologies 
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles in mobile or embedded environments 

Full Stack Developer Position Requirements:

  • Unwavering commitment to asset protection and cybersecurity. 
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance 
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. 
  • 3-7 years of hands-on experience as a Full Stack Developer.  
  • Must live in the Research Triangle Park (RTP) / Southern Pines, NC area. 
  • Experience with, or strong familiarity with, embedded systems and mobile/handheld device development
