Description:

The primary function of the Environmental Service Technician is to maintain the building, grounds, facility and equipment in a safe and efficient manner. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow maintenance schedules and safety precautions

  • Perform repairs (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, roofing, flooring)

  • Install shelving, fixtures, and perform painting

  • Floor care and preventive maintenance

  • Operate generators and maintain grounds (snow removal, debris cleanup)

  • Transport residents as needed

  • Attend training and report exposures

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma (trade school preferred)

  • 2+ years healthcare mechanic experience

  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems

  • Ability to read blueprints and follow safety codes

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent lifting (25 lbs), bending, kneeling

  • Exposure to noise, infectious waste, hazardous chemicals

  • Ability to cope with stress and work flexible hours
