Job Description

Project Engineer - Industrial Construction or Facility or Tooling Install 

Position Summary

We are seeking a wide range of  Engineering Professionals to support Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) activities on a large commercial construction project.  This position(s) works with the Owner, General Contractor, subcontractors, and design team to help ensure construction is completed according to project plans, specifications, and industry standards.

Candidates with experience in construction, facilities, project engineering, field supervision, commissioning, or maintenance are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine site walks and document construction progress.
  • Verify installed work generally matches project drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate project inspections, testing, and field observations.
  • Identify construction issues and communicate them to the project team.
  • Track punch list items and assist with follow-up until completed.
  • Maintain project logs, reports, and quality documentation.
  • Attend project meetings and coordinate with contractors and project stakeholders.
  • Support commissioning, project closeout, and warranty documentation.
  • Assist with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) and sustainability documentation when required.
  • Promote a proactive approach to quality and continuous improvement throughout the project.
Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in commercial construction, facilities management, maintenance, project engineering, field supervision, or a Manufacturing Quality related field.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working on active construction sites.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Willingness to learn QA/QC processes and construction documentation.
  • Ability to work on construction sites at least 5 days per week.
  • Work OT and possibly weekends and Holidays
  • Bachelor’s Degree is highly desired but not required in leu of experience
  • No work visa sponsorship is available for this position
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with commercial, industrial, healthcare, higher education, or mission-critical projects.
  • Experience working with contractors, architects, or engineers.
  • Familiarity with commissioning, inspections, or construction closeout documentation.
  • LEED experience or certification is a plus but not required.
  • Candidates with Strong Manufacturing Quality who have done SQE projects as part of their job responsibilities
