Description

As a Legal Assistant/Paralegal with Debt Collection Experience, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support in matters related to property management collection matters, including garnishments. Your role will involve assisting attorneys, preparing legal documents, and interacting with property staff to procure documentation.  The ideal candidate will have an understanding of collection laws and procedures and have experience preparing wage and tax garnishments and have a proven track record of supporting legal professionals in this field.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and file tax and employment garnishments
  2. Assist with scheduling and calendaring 
  3. Assist with case management matters including data entry
  4. Conduct skip tracings, research bankruptcy and military status, and prepare demand letters.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date legal files
  6. Provide administrative support to attorneys
  7. Collaborate effectively with the legal team to ensure seamless workflow and client satisfaction
  8. Exemplify good telephone and interpersonal skills and be well organized.
  9. Must be a team player who possesses a great work ethic, is professional, self-motivated, is comfortable learning new skills, and takes direction well.
