Position: Full-Time Elementary School Teacher
Location: Faxon Academy, Southfield, MI
Start Date: Tentative August17, 2026
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Staff meetings on Wednesdays from 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM)
Salary: $40,000 - $50,000

Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Elementary School Teacher to inspire and educate our students. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to nurturing young minds and fostering an inclusive and positive classroom environment. This position offers an opportunity to work collaboratively with a supportive team and make a lasting impact on the academic and personal growth of students.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.

• Foster a positive and respectful classroom environment conducive to learning.

• Regularly assess and track student progress, providing feedback to both students and parents.

• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and fellow staff members.

• Participate in professional development opportunities and staff meetings, including weekly meetings on Wednesdays from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM.

• Uphold and promote Faxon Academy’s values of respect, responsibility, and excellence.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education or related field.

• Valid teaching certification for the state of Michigan.

• Strong communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to work well both independently and collaboratively.

• Previous experience teaching elementary students is preferred.
