What you’ll do…

Great Expressions Dental Centers is a private-equity-backed Dental Support Organization (DSO) operating across hundreds of locations. In a PE-backed environment, finance is not a passive function — it plays a central role in shaping strategy, driving performance, and allocating capital.

The Senior FP&A Analyst role is designed for someone early-to-mid career who wants more than routine reporting. This role offers exposure to how a large, complex, PE-backed operating business actually runs, and provides a clear path for growth based on performance, ownership, and impact.

This is a role for someone who wants to build judgment, credibility, and influence — not just technical skill.

This position is located at our corporate office in Southfield, MI and has a hybrid schedule of Monday-Thursday in office and Friday remote.

What you’ll do…

  • Support driver-based budgeting, forecasting, and rolling forecasts in a multi-site operating model
  • Build and maintain advanced Excel models to analyze performance by location, region, and initiative
  • Work with large datasets to identify:
    • Performance trends
    • Root-cause drivers
    • Emerging risks and opportunities
  • Translate complex analysis into clear, decision-oriented insights for internal partners
  • Prepare management reporting that focuses on what matters and what to do next
  • Partner with operations, regional leadership, and corporate teams to:
    • Understand performance drivers
    • Evaluate trade-offs
    • Support real-world decisions
  • Support ROI and investment analysis related to staffing, growth, capital expenditures, and operational initiatives
  • Assist in maintaining and enhancing the CPM system (Adaptive Planning)
  • Identify opportunities to improve:
    • Reporting efficiency
    • Automation and scalability
    • Data quality and consistency
  • Participate in cross-functional projects that expose you to strategy, operations, and leadership

Why This Role Is a Career Accelerator

  • Direct exposure to PE-style decision-making and performance expectations
  • Opportunity to learn how value is created, measured, and managed in a scaled DSO
  • High visibility within the finance organization and with operating partners
  • Clear expectations and feedback tied to impact — not tenure
  • Strong performers have meaningful opportunities for expanded responsibility and advancement

What Success Looks Like

  • Your work helps leaders make better, faster decisions
  • Stakeholders trust your analysis and seek your input
  • You consistently go beyond “what happened” to explain “why” and “what next”
  • You grow in responsibility as your judgment and impact grow

What we require you have…

  • Advanced Excel user with strong modeling instincts
  • Curious, analytical, and business-minded
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and imperfect data
  • Able to communicate clearly with non-finance partners
  • Motivated by learning, growth, and ownership
  • Looking for a role, not just a job

Nice to Have (Not Required)

  • Experience in a DSO, healthcare, retail, or multi-site environment
  • Exposure to SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or other advanced analytics tools
  • Experience with Adaptive Planning or other CPM platforms
