SUMMARY

Perform diagnostic outpatient imaging on patients while ensuring and maintaining proper radiation exposure requirements. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Including but not limited to the

following.


  • Produce high quality diagnostic images and proper patient positioning
  • Operating proper equipment and assisting Radiologists for procedures if necessary
  • Maintain proper documentation and terminology with knowledge of anatomy 
  • Ability to learn new imaging protocols and equipment as needed 
  • Ability to input patient data into RIS, PACS, VSDM
  • Observes patient privacy policy and complies with HIPAA 
  • Preforms routine cleaning of the work area and associated equipment, laundry,  and stocking when needed
  • Ensures proper care and compassion with all patients 
  • Follows appropriate policies and procedures for exams
  • Willing to perform and or accept other duties that may be assigned 
  • Attendance at meetings and training sessions may be required. These sessions could occasionally be scheduled outside of your regular working hours to accommodate business needs and training opportunities. QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and QUALIFICATIONS

Completion of a recognized Diagnostic Radiology Program of 2 or more years. 

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must hold a current ARRT certificate. Must continue to obtain the recommended amount of Continuing Educations Credits each year per certification(s). Continuing education in accordance of the ARRT, ACR, and State of Michigan.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS 

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization. 

 

REASONING ABILITY 

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
