Lead the operational heartbeat of HR.
We’re looking for an experienced HR leader to serve as a strategic partner to our Director of Human Resources and help support the continued growth of a fast-moving, multi-state organization.
This role is designed for someone who thrives in operational HR leadership, enjoys building structure and supporting leaders, and is looking for a long-term opportunity with future executive growth potential.
About the Opportunity
The Assistant Director of Human Resources will support day-to-day HR operations across our multifamily and senior living portfolio while helping drive consistency, compliance, employee relations, leadership support, and process improvement initiatives company-wide.
This is not a recruiting-heavy or payroll-focused role. Instead, we are seeking a well-rounded HR professional who can operate both strategically and operationally while helping strengthen the infrastructure, culture, and leadership support systems of a growing organization.
You’ll work closely with operational leaders across multiple business lines and serve as a trusted resource for managers, employees, and executive leadership.
What You’ll Own
- Partner closely with the Director of Human Resources to support company-wide HR operations and strategic initiatives
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on employee relations, performance management, workplace concerns, and HR best practices
- Support investigations, corrective actions, conflict resolution, and sensitive employee matters with professionalism and discretion
- Help drive HR process improvements, standardization, and operational consistency across communities and departments
- Assist with policy development, handbook updates, and HR compliance initiatives
- Support leadership coaching and manager development efforts across the organization
- Participate in organizational development and employee engagement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and HR regulations
- Assist in building scalable HR infrastructure to support continued company growth
- Serve as a collaborative business partner to operational leadership teams

Who This Role Is For
- HR professionals with 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
- Candidates with strong employee relations and HR operations experience
- Professionals who have supported multi-site or multi-state organizations
- Individuals from senior living, healthcare, multifamily, hospitality, construction, manufacturing, or similarly operational industries
- HR leaders who are highly organized, emotionally intelligent, and capable of balancing strategic thinking with day-to-day execution
- Candidates who are comfortable navigating fast-paced environments and shifting priorities
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- PHR or SHRM certification is a plus
