The Sales Representative is responsible for successfully managing, growing, and developing sales within Fairfield County. Development of existing account base is fundamental, but expectation of new account development on the initiative of the Sales Representative is also expected.

QUALIFICATIONS:ALL Prior sales experience working on the wholesale end of the industry is strongly preferred, though not required. Candidates with commensurate retail and/or restaurant experience will also be considered.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Detail oriented and solution focused.
Computer experience necessary, utilizing all tools within Microsoft Office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage and develop relationships with customers via face-to-face visits and phone/email correspondence.
Develop expertise of Skurnik Wines' portfolio of wines and spirits from around the world as the fundamental tool of establishing successful sales.
Learn and utilize internal operating systems to effectively follow company policies.
Work in conjunction with Portfolio Management:
o Collaborate to facilitate sales opportunities.
o Willingly accept assignments for market work with visiting winery suppliers.
Manage and report monthly filing of expense reports in accordance with company policy.
Comply with all policies in accordance with our Credit Department and associated State Liquor Authority.
Communicate regularly with the Regional Sales Manager and Credit Department as appropriate to always advise of important matters.
Perform other related duties as assigned by Management.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess a current driver's license; maintain current auto insurance coverage and a clean driving record.
Must be able to travel at least 70% of the time as dictated by business needs.
Can repetitively lift a minimum of 35lbs.

Skurnik Wines & Spirits offers a competitive compensation package with expected first-year salary between $65,000 - $80,000. Following the first year, this position transitions to being commission based, with an opportunity for further compensations growth based on sales and other incentive programs. This salary range is an average range for this position. In determining a final offer, the company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills and experience and will make an offer appropriately.
