About the Role: PART TIME EVERY OTHER WEEKEND

The Security Guard position within the Senior Living Hospitality in Fairfield is critical to maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, staff, visitors and property. This role involves vigilant monitoring of access points, patrolling the premises, responding to emergencies, and enforcing community policies to maintain a safe environment, authorized individuals enter sensitive areas, thereby protecting valuable assets and confidential information. The Security Guard will respond promptly to any security breaches, fire alarms, or environmental control issues, minimizing risks and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. By utilizing wireless technology and radio communication, the guard will coordinate effectively with team members and emergency responders to manage incidents efficiently. Ultimately, this role supports the overall mission of the healthcare facility by fostering a secure atmosphere conducive to quality care and operational continuity

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid security guard license or certification as required by local regulations.
  • Basic knowledge of fire safety procedures and emergency response.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions and remain alert during extended shifts.
  • Proficiency in using radio communication devices and access control systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working as a security guard in a healthcare or social assistance setting.
  • Training in wireless technology applications related to security operations.
  • Familiarity with environmental control systems within healthcare facilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse populations.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control entry and exit points, verifying visitors and ensuring authorized access.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including buildings, parking areas and grounds.
  • Monitor surveillance system, fire alarms, and security equipment, ensuring they are functioning properly.
  • Respond swiftly to fire alarms, environmental control alerts, and other emergency situations, following established protocols to safeguard people and property.
  • Document and report suspicious activities, safety hazards, or security breaches.
  • Provide first aid or emergency response when necessary, following established procedures.
