Overview:
The Director of School Operations is the business and logistics operations manager for the school, managing all non-instructional functions, services, and staff so that the instructional team can maintain a concentrated focus on teaching and student achievement and maximize instructional time.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Director of School Operations ensures that the school is managed with operational excellence and fiscal prudence by creating, refining and implementing policies and systems while upholding the values of Franklin Academy. The Director of School Operations and his/her team work to create a culture of service and support. The Director of School Operations partners with the larger school leadership team to develop a school-wide culture of success and achievement and a team culture grounded in common goals, mutual respect, empathy towards others, and an appreciation of diversity. The Director of School Operations is a critical thinker and innovative problem solver with a high level of emotional intelligence. Franklin Academy is a Drug-Free Workplace.
Essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to:
- School Operations/Facility Management
- Emergency Drill Coordination & Reporting
- Security and Safety
- Student Arrival/Dismissal
- Oversight of Transportation
- Special Event Logistics
- Vendor & Contract Management
- School-Wide Fundraising Drives
- Compliance
- Other duties as assigned by the Principal
Requirements
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills including oral presentations, written skills, active listening skills and ability to negotiating and influence; great phone etiquette.
- Demonstrates enthusiasm and commitment toward the job and the mission of the school.
- Establishes excellent interpersonal skills between all constituents: being courteous, professional and, helpful; demonstrates high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
- Bachelor's degree (BA) from an accredited college or university or equivalent; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of three (3-5) years of successful experience.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple priorities.
- Seeks ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness. Strives to research, evaluate and implement best practices.
Director of Operations are eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
Compensation:
- Base Salary
- Retention Stipend
- Leadership Bonus: Up to 10% of Annual Base Salary
- Enrollment Incentive Stipend
- Employer 401K Match (2.5% of Base Salary)
Total Possible Compensation Package: $81,489.98
