Job Position Summary: Responsible to Sets up machines according to assigned job using hand tools such as wrenches, socket sets and coil handling materials.

Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma or Equivalent, Tech School preferred
5+ yrs Experience with CNC Machines
Mechanical Aptitude
Strong attention to details
Organizational skills.
Basic computer skills
Time Management Skills
Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and company operation sheets.
Ability to use inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators.
Ability to set up CNC machines according to assigned job.
Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Ensure adherence to safety regulation and standard. Follow Safety culture and wear PPE when required.
Sets up machines according to assigned job using hand tools such as wrenches, socket sets and coil handling materials.
Follows procedures and information on routing sheet for each specific job.
Assures material meets correct specifications of each job as stated on routing sheet.
Reads and follows blueprints to meet specifications.
Inspects first pieces for quality assurance.
Sets machine monitoring system according to proper mode of job
Use inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc. as required.
Observes overall operations and performs regular daily maintenance on equipment and work area.
Operate within AS9100/ISO9001 requirements to include proper documentation, revision control, traceability, and lot control.
Maintains production completion logs and submits to management daily.
Reports any problems or discrepancies to immediate supervisor.
Follow 6s Procedures and maintains a clean organized work area.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

Normal Production environments, subject to high noise levels from operating machines; physical hazards from moving equipment and sharp machine parts; breathing fumes, dust and mist; skin exposure to oil and cutting fluid; exposure to sharp metal edges, and forklifts.
May be asked to travel back and forth between Southwick and Westfield facilities.

Physical Requirements:

May have to lift up to thirty (40) pounds at a time, as required.
Must be able to push, pull, reach overhead, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend and/or sit for long periods of time.

1st Shift – 7:00-3:30pm Monday – Friday
