Description

POSITION SUMMARY 

The Quality Associate is responsible for ensuring outgoing parts meet defined quality standards in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment. This role supports production by performing inspections, documenting results, identifying defects, and communicating findings to ensure only conforming product is shipped to customers.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

· Perform final inspection of outgoing parts using gauges, measurement tools, visual checks, and standardized work instructions.

· Verify product meets specifications, tolerances, and customer requirements.

· Document all inspection results accurately in quality records, logs, or digital systems.

· Identify, classify, and segregate nonconforming product; escalate issues to Quality Technicians or Supervisors.

· Support root-cause investigation by providing defect data, samples, and detailed feedback.

· Maintain cleanliness and organization of inspection stations and equipment.

· Follow all quality procedures, work instructions, and safety guidelines.

· Communicate effectively with production, engineering, and quality teams regarding issues or trends.

· Participate in continuous improvement efforts to reduce defects and improve flow.

· Assist with in-process checks, audits, and other quality activities as needed.

Requirements

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

· Regularly required to walk, stand, stoop, kneel and crouch

· Regularly required to reach with hands and arms, use hands to handle or feel

· Ability to communicate and listen

· Occasionally required to sit

· Must be able to occasionally lift 35lbs.

· Ability to reach to use tools and equipment for inspecting and testing 

· Ability to manipulate and feel small parts for inspection

· Ability to inspect small parts visually and through the use of magnifying equipment

· Ability to perceive depth to set up equipment
