Role Summary:

This role plays a key role in supporting the purchasing, analysis, and sales of core commodity products. This position helps ensure competitive market positioning by negotiating pricing, sourcing materials, executing purchase and sales contracts, and providing timely market insights. The role supports direct-to-farm sales activities, risk management strategies, and maintains strong supplier and customer relationships to drive business growth and value.


A Day in the Life:

  • Monitoring commodity markets and analyzing trends to identify strategic opportunities
  • Negotiating prices, sourcing products, and executing purchase contracts
  • Providing quotes and executing sales contracts for customers and direct-to-farm sales
  • Coordinating shipments and supporting daily logistics needs
  • Reconciling end-of-month reports and troubleshooting discrepancies
  • Communicating market updates to internal teams and external partners
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and customers

What You Will Bring to the Table: 

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret market data
  • Confidence in negotiating and building business relationships
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive, self-driven attitude with a desire to grow and learn
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness, Business, Economics, or related field preferred
  • Experience in commodities, agriculture, sales, or procurement is a plus
