Location: Sparta, TN

Facility: Ascension Saint Thomas Highlands

Department: Pharmacy

Schedule: Full-time | Rotating

What You Will Do

  • Medication Management: Assure the appropriate selection, dosing, administering, and dispensing of medication orders.
  • Clinical Assessment: Review medication orders to identify and resolve potential or actual drug-related problems, recommending alternatives when necessary.
  • Preparation & Dispensing: Compound and accurately dispense medications for delivery to patients and specific care areas.
  • Education & Consultation: Provide drug information and education to medical staff while offering counseling to patients.
  • Supervision & Collaboration: Oversee technical personnel in the pharmacy and communicate with physicians to facilitate patient care.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Pharmacist credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
