As an Electrical Building Engineer at JLL, you will play a vital role in supporting the critical electrical operations that keep today's most demanding data center and facility environments running seamlessly. What your day-to-day will look like:Ā
Conduct daily electrical system inspections including UPS systems, switchgear, and power distribution equipment to ensureĀ optimalĀ performanceĀ
Monitor electrical parameters and alert senior technicians to any abnormal conditions requiring immediate attentionĀ
Perform comprehensive battery room inspections including voltage readings, temperature monitoring, and visual safety assessmentsĀ
Execute routine electrical system checks and document all readings in compliance with facility protocols and safety standardsĀ
AssistĀ with battery maintenance procedures under senior technician supervision whileĀ maintainingĀ strict safety protocolsĀ
Support preventive maintenance activities on electrical distribution systems and helpĀ maintainĀ accurateĀ equipment labelingĀ
Participate in electrical troubleshooting activities under supervision, gaining valuable hands-on experience with complex systemsĀ
Manage electrical work orders through CMMS systems andĀ assistĀ with vendor coordination for maintenance activitiesĀ
RespondĀ to electrical system alarms andĀ incidents asĀ directed by senior staff, ensuring rapid resolution of critical issuesĀ
Required qualifications:Ā
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with electrical systems in data center or critical facility environmentsĀ
Solid working knowledge of electrical fundamentals including AC/DC systems, electrical safety principles, and basic troubleshooting techniquesĀ
Demonstrated experience with electrical inspection procedures andĀ proficiencyĀ using electrical measurement toolsĀ
Strong verbal and written communication skills forĀ accurateĀ documentation, reporting, and team collaborationĀ
Working knowledge of computer applications including MS Office Suite, Google Workspace, and computerized maintenance management systemsĀ
Physical ability to perform demanding tasks including walking, climbing, lifting 50+ pounds, and working on ladders up to 30 feetĀ
Availability for emergency response calls and flexibility to work holidays and varied schedules as operational needs requireĀ
Commitment toĀ maintainingĀ electrical safety protocols and willingness to learn advanced proceduresĀ
Preferred qualifications:Ā
PreviousĀ experience working with CMMS platforms for maintenance management and work order processingĀ
Universal EPA 608 certificationĀ demonstratingĀ environmental compliance knowledgeĀ
Basic NFPA 70E electrical safety training or willingness to obtain certification within specifiedĀ timeframeĀ
Associate degree in electrical technology, electrical engineering technology, or equivalent technical educationĀ
Hands-on experience with UPS systems, emergency generators, and electrical distribution equipment in critical environmentsĀ
