What this job involves:Ā 

Responsible for operating, inspecting, andĀ maintainingĀ electrical systems and equipment in Data Center Critical Environments. Focus on ensuring efficient operations, minimizing downtime, andĀ maintainingĀ energy-efficient and safe conditions.Ā ExpertiseĀ in electrical systems and battery management is essential.Ā 

What does your day to day look like -Ā Ā 

  • Implement critical environment protocols and MOP processesĀ 

  • Maintain and repair electrical services, distribution systems, and UPS equipmentĀ 

  • Inspect andĀ maintainĀ plant substations, transformers, and HV switches.Ā 

  • Monitor,Ā maintain, and troubleshoot UPS systems and associated battery banksĀ 

  • Perform regular battery inspections, testing, and replacementĀ 

  • Utilize EPMS systems for power distribution and battery performance analysisĀ 

  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and industry standardsĀ 

  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical and HVAC-related componentsĀ 

  • Update work orders and use CMMS systems for task managementĀ 

Physical Requirements:Ā 

  • Lift up to 80Ā lbsĀ 

  • Work at heights up to 30 feetĀ 

  • Perform various physical tasks in diverse conditionsĀ 

  • Available for on-call workĀ 

Desired Experience and Technical Skills -Ā Ā 

Required:Ā Ā 

  • Journeyman Electrician's LicenseĀ 

  • 4+ years of technical experience in building engineering, focusing on electrical systemsĀ 

  • Strong battery background, including UPS systems and VRLA batteriesĀ 

  • Experience with battery replacement, tracking, and troubleshootingĀ 

  • Familiarity with EPMS (Electrical Power Management Systems)Ā 

  • Experience working in Data Centers/Raised Floor EnvironmentsĀ 

  • CRAC (Liebert) maintenance and repair experienceĀ 

  • PreviousĀ work experience with a critical infrastructure technology companyĀ 

Preferred:Ā 

  • Advanced knowledge of UPS systems and data center integrationĀ 

  • Experience with battery monitoring systems and predictive maintenanceĀ 

  • ExpertiseĀ in high voltage operations and substationsĀ 

  • Familiarity with building automation and fire/life safety systemsĀ 

Hourly Rate: $43-45/hr.

*Day Shift and Night Shift available
