What this job involves:Ā
As a Critical Environment Logistics Material Handler at JLL, you will play a vital role inĀ maintainingĀ the seamless operation of mission-critical facilities where precision and reliability are paramount. This position involves managing the complexĀ logisticsĀ of specialized materials, equipment, and supplies withinĀ aĀ data centersĀ environmentĀ where operational continuity cannot be compromised. You will coordinate the receipt, storage, distribution, and tracking of critical components while adhering to strict protocols and safety standards.Ā Ā
What your day-to-day will look like:Ā
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments of critical materials, equipment, and spare parts against purchase orders and specificationsĀ
MaintainĀ accurateĀ inventory records using computerized warehouse management systems and conduct regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracyĀ
Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to schedule deliveries and resolve any discrepancies or quality issuesĀ
Prepare and package materials for distribution to various locations within the facility while following proper handling procedures for sensitive equipmentĀ
Execute emergency material requests with urgency and precision to minimize any potential downtime to critical operationsĀ
Conduct regular audits of storage areas to ensure compliance with environmental controls, safety protocols, and regulatory requirementsĀ
Collaborate with maintenance teams and technicians toĀ anticipateĀ material needs andĀ maintainĀ optimalĀ stock levels for critical componentsĀ
Document all material movements, transfers, and disposalsĀ in accordance withĀ established procedures and regulatory guidelinesĀ
Support facility emergency response procedures by ensuring rapid access to critical spare parts and emergency suppliesĀ
Required qualifications:Ā
High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of experience in warehouse operations,Ā logistics, or materials managementĀ
Proven experience working in critical environments such as data centers, healthcare facilities, laboratories, or manufacturing plantsĀ
ProficiencyĀ with warehouse management systems, inventory software, and Microsoft Office SuiteĀ
Strong understanding of proper handling techniques for sensitive electronic equipment and hazardous materialsĀ
Ability toĀ lift upĀ to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, reaching, and standing for extended periodsĀ
Excellent attention to detail withĀ demonstratedĀ accuracy in record-keeping and inventory managementĀ
Strong communicationĀ skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and external vendorsĀ
Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs requireĀ
Valid driver's license and ability toĀ operateĀ material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacksĀ
Preferred qualifications:Ā
Associate degree inĀ logistics, supply chain management, or related fieldĀ
Experience with specialized critical environment protocols and regulatory compliance requirementsĀ
Certification in material handling equipment operation (forklift, scissor lift, etc.)Ā
Knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protocols and cleanroom proceduresĀ
PreviousĀ experience in mission-critical facility operations or similar high-stakes environmentsĀ
Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and hazardous material handling proceduresĀ
Experience withĀ leanĀ inventory management principles and continuous improvement methodologiesĀ
