Service Engineer Technician

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer‑focused Service Engineer Technician to join our service team. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining aerial work platforms (boom lifts) for both customer-owned units and company stock machines. Previous experience preferred. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service quality.


Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a range of aerial work platforms and boom lifts. 
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and cosmetic repairs in accordance with company standards. 
  • Complete assigned work orders efficiently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety procedures. 
  • Accurately document all work performed and communicate findings in a clear, professional manner. 
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment. 
  • Ensure repairs meet expectations for cost control, quality, timeliness, and customer satisfaction. 
 

Required Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with working knowledge of hydraulics, internal combustion engines, and electrical/electronic systems. 
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics. 
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record; ability to safely operate lift trucks. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Previous machinery or equipment repair experience preferred. 
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, stooping, standing, sitting, lifting, and lying down as needed. 
  • Demonstrated ability to follow direction, work independently, and contribute effectively within a team. 

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $25–$35 per hour, commensurate with experience.
