Our Hillcrest stylists typically earn $20ā$30/hr with tips and commission. Your floor is $15/hr. Your ceiling is up to you.
We're hiring one part-time stylist for our Hillcrest Supercuts ā and we're not just filling a chair. We're looking for the person who wants to learn this business from the floor up and be first in line for a management role as we grow.
You bring the hustle. We bring the guests, the training, the product, and a clear path forward.
What You'll Earn
ā $15/hr guaranteed ā the minimum, not the goal
ā Commission takes over the moment you out-earn your hourly. No cap. You decide what you make.
ā Tips on top of everything
ā Retail commission on every Paul Mitchell and Reuzel product you put in a guest's hands
ā Steady walk-in traffic ā no booth rent, no chasing clients, no building a book from zero
ā Typical Hillcrest earnings: $20ā$30/hr
The Growth Path (this is the real opportunity)
ā Start at up to 25 hours/week
ā Grow into 35+ hours/week as the store grows ā and it is growing
ā Learn the business side: inventory, scheduling, retail targets, guest retention, team leadership
ā Promote into Management. We promote from within. We'd rather train the right person than hire a stranger.

What You'll Do
ā¢ Deliver great haircuts, fast and consistently, without cutting corners
ā¢ Make every guest want to come back and ask for you by name
ā¢ Recommend and sell Paul Mitchell and Reuzel products ā this is part of the job, and it's how you grow your paycheck
ā¢ Keep your station and the salon clean, stocked, and ready
ā¢ Jump in for your teammates without being asked
ā¢ Learn the numbers behind the business as you go
What We're Looking For
ā¢ Active Cosmetology or Barber license (required)
ā¢ Weekend availability ā most weekends, including Sundays. This is non-negotiable; it's our busiest time and it's where the money is.
ā¢ Someone who hustles ā moves with purpose, doesn't wait to be told
ā¢ A real team player. No drama, no scorekeeping.
ā¢ Comfortable recommending retail ā or genuinely willing to learn. If "upselling" scares you, we'll teach you how to do it in a way that actually helps the guest.
ā¢ Knowledge of Paul Mitchell and Reuzel is a big plus ā but a willingness to learn them cold counts just as much
ā¢ Ambition. You want more than a chair.
