Chemical Manufacturing company looking for a QC Lab Tech

1st shift $23/hr

Summary/Objective 

Laboratory technician performs quality control testing for product manufacturing as well as applications testing for product development. They must be able to follow and understand both written and verbal instructions, perform required testing in consistent and accurate way, document results, communicate results to supervisor and back to production in timely manner. 

Essential Functions 

Perform the following tests: pH 

Different methods of solids 

Viscosity 

Filter Tests 

Particle size measurement 

Others as required by formula or customer needs 



Additional Responsibilities 

Help Development Team with compounding formulations, preparing samples, applications of products and testing Compounding 

Pad and coatings applications 

Burn Tests (NFPA, FAR, CPAI, BS, etc.) 

Spray ratings, oil and alcohol repellency 


Keep lab clean and organized 


Experience 

Technician will use math skills (determining % for formulations, calculating additions for batch adjustments (if necessary)). Technician has basic computer skills – inputting data into Excel spreadsheets and company enterprise system (Datacor), documenting results in Word for development work
