Northern Hills Training Center (NHTC) is a community-based provider dedicated to supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our mission is to empower individuals to live meaningful, independent lives through compassionate, person-centered care and support.


Position Summary:

We are currently hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for part-time, full-time, and overnight shifts. In this role, you will provide hands-on support to individuals in their homes and community settings, helping them build independence, maintain health and safety, and achieve personal goals. 


Key Responsibilities:

-Assist individuals with daily living activities (personal care, meal preparation, housekeeping)

-Support community participation (social activities, outings)

-Provide companion and emotional support

-Document services and progress accurately

-Follow individualized care plans and behavior support plans

-Ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment


Available Shifts:

Full-Time and Overnight Shifts

These positions follow a rotating 12-hour schedule. Allowing you to have half the year off!

-Shift rotations are divided into:

Front Half:

  • Week 1: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday
  • Week 2: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday

Back Half:

  • Week 1: Thursday, Friday, Saturday
  • Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday

Part-Time

Flexible scheduling available based on your availability and program needs. 


Qualifications:

-Must be 18 years of age or older

-High school diplome or equivalent (GED)

-Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

-Strong communication and interpersonal skills

-Compassionate, dependable, and reliable

-Experience in caregiving, healthcare, or human services is a plus (but not required)


Benefits:

-Wage: Part-time employees start at $17.79/hr. Full-time and Overnight Employees average $20.33/hr.
