The Van Driver is responsible for providing safe, courteous, and timely transportation for residents to and from medical appointments, social activities, and other destinations as required. This role ensures the well-being and comfort of residents during transit and maintains the vehicle in a clean and operational condition.

Schedule:

7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Monday - Friday

On Call every other weekend

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport residents to and from scheduled appointments and activities.
  • Assist residents in and out of the vehicle, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Operate wheelchair lifts and secure wheelchairs and other mobility devices.
  • Maintain accurate records of trips, including mileage, destinations, and any incidents.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs.
  • Ensure the vehicle is clean and sanitized regularly.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and family members.
  • Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service and foster positive relationships with residents.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience in driving vans or similar vehicles, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Ability to assist residents with mobility challenges.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and week
