Base pay: $17.13–$19.00 per hour, depending on experience
Tip pool: Typically adds another $5–$8 per hour
Estimated total earnings: Approximately $22.13–$27.00 per hour, depending on experience and actual tips

As a Shift Leader, you’ll be the person who helps the shift click. You’ll support the restaurant manager, guide the team, solve problems, and jump in wherever you’re needed—from helping a customer to supporting the kitchen during a rush. 

This is a kitchen-focused leadership position. You will spend much of your shift cooking, preparing food, and keeping the line running smoothly. You will also help organize the team, maintain our standards, and make sure every customer receives fast, friendly service and a great meal.

We are a fast-casual Asian fusion restaurant where leaders work alongside the team—especially when the ticket printer gets ambitious.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and cook menu items according to Noodle Express recipes and standards
• Lead the cooking line during busy lunch and dinner shifts
• Maintain food quality, accurate portions, and efficient ticket times
• Assign stations and adjust the shift plan as needed
• Coach, train, and support restaurant team members
• Keep the kitchen clean, stocked, safe, and organized
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
• Communicate clearly with cooks, cashiers, customers, and managers
• Help resolve customer concerns professionally
• Complete opening, closing, and cash-handling duties as assigned
• Jump into any station when the team needs help

What We’re Looking For

• Restaurant cooking or cashiering experience
• Previous leadership experience as a Shift Leader, Shift Supervisor, Kitchen Lead, Lead Cook, or Team Lead is preferred
• Strong cooking skills and confidence working on a fast-paced line
• A genuine commitment to excellent customer service
• Dependability, good judgment, and clear communication
• The ability to stay calm, organized, and positive during busy shifts
• The ability to safely perform the essential duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
