This role involves evaluating all aspects of store performance, with primary focus on people, customer service, store contribution, and adherence to shrink reduction initiatives.  The Store Manager will lead, guide, and support its team to achieve sales and profit goals while prioritizing exceptional customer service.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Exceptional Team Building   Recruit and select highly talented individuals and develop succession plans to support the company's growth objectives. Collaborate with peers to establish a company-wide talent pool of qualified individuals ready for their next step. Ensure consistent application of performance management practices, including performance appraisals, counseling, and development plans.  Maintain compliance with company HR policies and procedures. Address employee relations issues in partnership with your District Manager and Human Resources. Prioritize safety by upholding company safety policies and ensuring the well-being of advisors and customers. Exemplary Customer Service Act as the primary point of contact for addressing customer service issues within assigned store. Respond promptly and effectively to all customer inquiries. Ensure a high level of customer service excellence is achieved consistently and daily. Financial Responsibility Manage and continually monitor expenditures to stay within budgetary constraints. Control payroll hours to align with the budget while adjusting to changing business trends. Create and maintain a safe, accident-free environment for customers and advisors by adhering to state, local, and federal regulations. Merchandising & Inventory   Champion loss prevention initiatives and awareness programs.  Achieve company shrink reduction goals. Serve as the bridge between your location and Headquarters, facilitating the championing of new ideas and processes to drive continuous improvement. Oversee proper merchandising presentation and organization in accordance with the company's guidelines and processes. Identify and escalate inventory discrepancies as needed. May perform other duties as assigned and/or required. QualificationsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:  High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. Three (3) or more years of retail management or operations experience preferred.   Must possess a valid driver’s license and car insurance.   KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Demonstrates strong business acumen. Ensures accountability and executes business plans proficiently. Ability to adapt quickly in an ambiguous environment, manage multiple tasks and changing priorities. Demonstrates ability in building and nurturing talent within the organization.  Effective in managing work processes and aligning them with business goals. Skilled in organizing, planning, prioritizing, and aligning resources effectively. Collaborative and works effectively with cross-functional teams. Exhibits excellent communication skills (verbally and in writing) with the ability to role model and lead by example, communicating clearly and effectively.   Proficiency in the use of Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.   PHYSICAL / ENVIRONMENTAL: Punctuality and regular attendance are essential to the position. Vision requirements include the ability to see information in print and electronically. Ability to stand, walk and move round the store for up to 100% of workday. Occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, reaching, and stooping.
