Retail Warehouse Associate II (Part-time)

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Greet and interact with customers to understand their needs and preferences related to merchandise.
Assist with customers’ orders by loading and unloading products as needed.
Maintain product stock in the store and warehouse.
Assemble products and displays.
Deliver products to customer delivery points.
Performing preventive maintenance on equipment (delivery truck, forklift, etc.) and facilities.
Dispense propane and kerosene.
Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
Safely and regularly operate a vehicle to make deliveries, visit various worksites, other businesses or customer locations.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Exhibit an ability to receive feedback, adapt to new processes and continuously develop skills.
Demonstrate the ability to collaborate, communicate well and effectively relay information with an emphasis on developing positive professional relationships.
Practice punctual and reliable attendance.
Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent.
Be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license (or 18 years of age with a valid commercial driver’s license) to operate a commercial motor vehicle (10,001 lbs. GVWR). Maintain a safe and insurable driving record.
Be able to obtain a Medical Examiner’s Certificate for the operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
Must pass pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment.
Physical ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 60 pounds.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods; walk, bend, stoop and kneel frequently.
Strong organizational, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
Commitment to high standards especially in terms of providing outstanding customer service.
Proven track record of being dependable and reliable.
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
Demonstrate basic computer skills, including navigating websites and receiving/sending emails.
Professional appearance and demeanor.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience working in a retail or warehouse setting.
Product knowledge in one or more of the following areas: feed, seed, pet food & supplies, hardware, fencing, animal health, tack, clothing & footwear, lawn & garden or wild bird supplies.
Experience dispensing propane cylinders.
Experience safely operating pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.

SCHEDULE

This is a part time position; 16 - 32 hours per week (schedule may vary). Sunday through Saturday. Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

$17.50 - $21.00/hour. Part-time employees may be eligible for the following benefits, subject to the eligibility requirements of each benefit plan:
