Job DetailsJob Location: Resident Ct - Spokane, WA 99204Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: High SchoolSalary Range: $20.11 - $31.49 HourlyTravel Percentage: Up to 25%Job Shift: DayJob Category: Admin - ClericalAdministrative Support Specialist – Leasing & Compliance SNAP is seeking a qualified individual for an Administrative Support Specialist – Leasing & Compliance position to work in SNAP’s Housing Services Core. This position is full-time (30 hours/week), regular, and open to all qualified individuals. Position Summary Supports the Leasing and Compliance Manager with maintaining portfolio waitlists per fair housing rules, conducting formal screening of prospective tenants, and conducting initial compliance review of prospective and existing tenants. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Manages property waitlists. This includes removing non-responsive applicants, updating contact information, and assisting Community Administrators by contacting applicants for upcoming vacant units. Assist with both paper and electronic tenant file creation, clean up, and management. Assists Community Administrators by auditing files periodically to ensure all required forms are included. Follows all regulations, including but not limited to Fair Housing, WA Landlord Tenant Law, and various funder regulations. Collects, maintains, and reviews initial eligibility documents necessary to determine qualifications. Assists with UA calculations, HAP Renewals, and WBARS reports as needed by collecting data, completing forms, and submitting work product to various funders as instructed by the Leasing & Compliance Manager. Travels to properties within the housing portfolio as needed to assist with picking up compliance paperwork, posting notices, and other tasks as assigned. Schedules appointments as needed for the Leasing & Compliance Manager with tenants and applicants. Completes assigned projects and performs related duties as needed or situation dictates. Preferred: High School/GED or equivalent; strong preference for lived or professional experience related to low-income, underserved populations, with varied economic circumstances. Five years of experience in administrative support or a related field. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to empathize with and advocate for low-income and vulnerable people and to maintain confidentiality with personal information. Self-starter and able to identify tasks that need to be completed and take the initiative to do so. Ability to maintain strong personal boundaries and maintain strict confidentiality. Ability to de-escalate clients in high-stress, crisis situations. Thorough knowledge of computer systems like Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and SharePoint. Experience with Salesforce and ResMan is preferred. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, emphasizing effective working in a team environment and with a diverse population. Ability to learn new complex systems. Resilient and able to shift priorities and track details. Experience in a multi-family affordable housing tenant selection process is a plus. Analytical skills and the ability to plan and coordinate tasks to completion. Physical strength and agility may be necessary to transport boxes of materials and supplies. Training and Certifications Valid driver's license and good driving record Fair Housing Essentials & Specialist Training or the ability to obtain it within 30 days of hire. LIHTC Training Certificate Certified Occupancy Specialist Certification USDA Rural Development Specialist Certification Other training as warranted for the program (training provided) Work Environment/Physical Activities: Most work is sedentary and performed in an office setting; it may involve frequent movement about the office and to other SNAP facilities. 30% travel is required, with mileage reimbursement. May deal with people in crisis situations.
