WHY CHOOSE FRONTIER BEHAVIORAL HEALTH?

  • At Frontier Behavioral Health, we value our employees and recognize the importance of EVERY employee’s contribution to our mission.

  • Our behavioral health services make a positive difference in the lives of those we serve and contribute to the health, safety, and quality of life for everyone in Spokane County.

  • At FBH we have a variety of client services, including outpatient, inpatient, community outreach, crisis services, partnerships with schools, law enforcement and more.

  • Our evidence-based, culturally appropriate, trauma informed behavioral health services address the diverse needs of those we serve.

Trueblood programs were developed in response to a federal court ruling requiring Washington State to address unconstitutional delays in mental health services for individuals involved in the criminal legal system. These programs are designed to reduce incarceration and improve access to behavioral health care by offering timely competency evaluations, restoration services, and community-based support.

At Frontier Behavioral Health, Trueblood-funded initiatives include:

• FPATH – Forensic PATH: Provides intensive case management and support for individuals transitioning from jail or inpatient settings.

• FHARPS – Forensic Housing and Recovery through Peer Services: Offers housing assistance and peer support for individuals with behavioral health needs.

• OCRP – Outpatient Competency Restoration Program: Delivers outpatient services to help individuals regain competency to stand trial.

An ARNP is essential to these programs, delivering trauma-informed, compassionate care to individuals navigating both behavioral health challenges and legal system involvement.

The Trueblood ARNP performs psychiatric evaluations, formulates diagnosis, evaluates the need for medications, laboratory studies, and imaging, and prescribes accordingly and as licensed by law. Services are primarily provided in the community where the Trueblood class member is located, accompanied by Trueblood staff. The ARNP participates in the development of treatment plans, including reviewing cases with the treatment teams ensuring patient care is delivered in an evidence-based, trauma informed manner. Case consultation with other FBH staff, residential providers and families is provided upon request.  The ARNP may, on occasion, be asked to help provide ARNP coverage in other programs.
