Let's be honest-every company says safety matters.
At ARC Electric in Spokane, WA, we actually mean it.

We're looking for a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) who doesn't just check boxes-but sets the standard. Someone who can walk onto a job site, spot risk before it becomes a problem, and isn't afraid to speak up (and be heard).

If you're the kind of person who notices everything, believes safety is everyone's job-but owns it anyway-and can coach a crew without sounding like a lecture... keep reading.

Benefits:

  • Retirement plan and generous incentive pay
  • Medical coverage
  • 7 paid holidays
  • 2 weeks flexible PTO

What You'll Do

This isn't a desk job pretending to be field work. You'll be out where it matters.

  • Lead and elevate safety programs across all electrical construction projects
  • Conduct job site inspections, audits, and risk assessments (yes, real ones-not clipboard theater)
  • Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and make sure they don't happen again
  • Deliver toolbox talks and safety training people actually pay attention to
  • Partner with project managers and field teams to prevent problems-not react to them
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, and state regulations
  • Track safety metrics and turn them into real improvements
  • Support pre-construction planning with job hazard analyses (JHAs)

You'll be the go-to person when it comes to safety-and the one people trust when things get serious.

What You Bring

  • CSP certification (non-negotiable)
  • 5+ years of safety experience in construction or electrical environments
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, NFPA 70E, and industry standards
  • Experience leading training, investigations, and coaching field teams
  • Ability to influence people (without needing a megaphone or a rulebook)
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple job sites
  • Comfortable reading blueprints, schematics, and construction plans
  • Tech-savvy enough to manage reporting and safety systems
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Bonus points if you can make safety engaging instead of painful. That's a rare skill.

What the Job Looks Like Day-to-Day

  • Field-based role with travel around the Spokane area
  • Active construction environments (yes, boots on the ground)
  • Walking job sites, climbing ladders, navigating real-world conditions
  • PPE is part of the uniform-not optional
  • Fast-paced, constantly changing environments where your judgment matters

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

This role is primarily field-based and involves regular travel to active construction sites throughout the Spokane area.

To successfully perform the job, the Safety Professional must be able to:

  • Walk and stand for extended periods on active construction sites
  • Navigate uneven terrain, stairs, ladders, and partially completed structures
  • Conduct site inspections in indoor and outdoor environments in varying weather conditions
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and harnesses when necessary
  • Occasionally bend, reach, climb, or crouch while inspecting work areas
  • Visually identify potential hazards, equipment issues, or unsafe conditions
  • Communicate clearly with crews, leadership, and external partners both verbally and in writing

The role also requires the ability to assess safety risks in fast-moving job site environments while managing multiple projects and priorities.

Why ARC Electric?

  • You won't be ignored-you'll be listened to
  • You'll have real influence on how safety is run
  • You'll work with teams that value getting the job done and going home safe
  • And you won't spend your days buried in paperwork pretending it's impact
