Job Description:

Vitalant is seeking a Hospital Distribution Technician dedicated to making a positive difference. You will support Vitalant's life-saving mission by managing the inventory of blood and blood products and facilitate the packaging and shipment to local hospitals and patients. What to Expect

Salary: $18.08 - $19.65 based on experience

Schedule: Four 10/hr Shifts: Monday - Thursday 12:30pm - 11:00pm  (During training schedule is Mon - Fri 7a - 330p for 6 weeks)

As a Hospital Distribution Technician you'll get to

  • Receive, prepare, and ship routing, ASAP and STAT orders of blood and blood products, conducting a visual inspection of each product prior to shipment to ensure order accuracy.
  • Professionally and safely deliver products to Vitalant customers in company vehicle.
  • Communicate with customers regarding order fulfilment, turnaround times, and product availability.
  • Maintain accurate hospital service records for transactions and process fees.
  • Monitor all storage requirements, service equipment and vehicle work areas.
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Valid in-state driver's license
  • Six months of customer service experience required
  • Prior healthcare industry experience preferred
  • Able to lift 40lbs
