The Employee Experience Specialist is responsible for enhancing the overall employee experience by developing and implementing initiatives that promote employee engagement, satisfaction, retention, and a positive workplace culture. Serving as a strategic partner to leaders and employees, this role assesses organizational needs, identifies opportunities for improvement, and drives programs that support employee well-being, recognition, communication, and professional growth. The Employee Experience Specialist helps foster an inclusive, mission-driven work environment that aligns with organizational values and supports business objectives while ensuring employees feel valued, connected, and empowered to succeed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Utilize employee assessment tools, surveys, and feedback mechanisms to gain a comprehensive understanding of the employee experience. Analyze findings to identify both systemic and individual opportunities for improvement, and develop targeted initiatives that enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.

  • Research best practices and trends within the realm of employee experience and provide summaries of findings and recommendations to executive leadership.

  • Develop and present comprehensive proposals for initiatives, including costs, benefits, challenges and expected results.

  • Consistently consider and communicate downstream impacts and unintended consequences.

  • Communicate organization decisions in a manner that is comprehensive and positive.

  • Develop and conduct leadership workshops and group education about workplace culture, employee engagement, preventing and addressing burn out, etc.  

  • Oversee FBH’s performance review process.

  • Develop, plan, coordinate and execute employee events.

  • Work directly with programs and program leaders that are experiencing a negative culture to support and guide improvement in microcultures.  

  • In coordination with CHRO and other leaders, take an instrumental role in developing an emerging leaders’ program.

  • Identify, coordinate and promote external leadership development activities and training.

  • Manage FBH’s company store.

  • Lead FBH’s wellness program.

  • Serve on various committees as assigned.

  •  Act as FBH’s Commute Trip Reduction Coordinator.

  • Maintain confidentiality when necessary and appropriate.

  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFIED APPLICANTS WILL HAVE:

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, organizational development, communications or related field. Ten or more years’ experience working in an HR or related role may be substituted for education.

  • Two (2) or more years of experience performing work focused on employee engagement. 

PREFERRED:

  • HRCI or SHRM certification is preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Must have a broad range of experience and/or knowledge of issues related to Human Resources. Knowledge base should include the laws, rules, principles, techniques and methods of human resources management processes including areas described under the job summary.

  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing and in 1:1, group and class setting.

  • Skilled with the utilization of technology including; internet, Microsoft office Suite.

  • Must be able to lead others in a positive, solution-oriented manner and display a positive, optimistic, accepting attitude.

  • Ability to critically evaluate processes, procedures and performance in order to improve organizational operations and individual performance.

  • Must have excellent organizational skills, be able to track and follow up on details while maintaining a comprehensive, broad overview of areas of responsibility. Ability to prioritize and respond to multiple, competing demands and adjust work priorities to meet unforeseen demands.

  • Must be sensitive to and accepting of individuals from all backgrounds and cultures.

  • Work is generally performed in an office setting which may involve sitting and use of computers for four to eight hours per day. 

  • May be required to lift 10 - 20 pounds. 

  • Work may be performed out of office and travel may be needed to outside areas.

  • Blood-borne Pathogen Category III - No predictable exposure to blood-borne pathogens.





PAY RANGE (Hourly/ Non-Exempt): $33.43- $40.73

  • All pay is based on longevity at Frontier Behavioral Health; thus, the Starting Pay for this position is $33.43 per hour.
